Christopher Parr is a digital marketing veteran, writer, a frequent speaker at luxury and interactive marketing conferences, and a pioneer in web publishing. He launched Pursuitist as a curated list of the good things in life, with guest contributors from Forbes, Mashable, TechCrunch, Glamour, Saveur and more sharing their favorite luxuries. In 1996, Michael Wolff’s NetGuide named Parr’s inaugural online magazine as “The Best Site of the Year” at MacWorld. He holds a MFA from Brandeis and a BA from Viterbo.
Christopher and the Parr Interactive team have launched websites and developed online marketing strategies for many clients: including Rayovac, Insinkerator, BizFilings, John Deere, Musicnotes, TDS, Sub-Zero, Microsoft, AmFam and WPS Insurance. He was a VP, Marketing Director for an e-commerce company, working with Warner Bros. Pub. & AOL. Christopher also managed marketing and branding for Sub-Zero and Wolf, directing digital, media, video, email, blogging & social media marketing. He developed digital campaigns with HGTV, NY Times, Oprah and Epicurious, and events at Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton properties.
In 1995, Parr launched the award-winning creative and strategic studio based in Madison, Wisconsin. The Madison web design firm has been named one of the “Best Wisconsin Web Design Companies” by the Web Marketing Association, AdWeek and AdAge. Since then, Parr Interactive has worked with big brands and small start-ups world-wide.
